JOHN J. COLANGELO has been with The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and its predecessor companies since 1971. 

Mr. Colangelo is a member of the DTCC Executive Team and is Managing Director of Operations for its subsidiary organizations. In this position, he oversees Operations, both domestic and international and Business Reengineering initiatives at DTCC.

Mr. Colangelo is also the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the DTCC subsidiary: DTCC Solutions, LLC, with offices in the USA, Europe and Asia.

He has held various executive positions throughout his career at DTCC, including division executive of its Asset Services, Client Services and Custody divisions. He has developed and implemented business continuity facilities operations at all its corporate operating locations and has worked with various depositories and clearing agencies around the world to share "best practices." Additionally, he has developed DTCC's Centers of Excellence (COE) dedicated to world-class client driven customer service. He has also established the company's industry-recognized Six Sigma program whereby this methodology has resulted in a reduction to corporate expenses, enhancements of its revenue opportunities and streamlined overall operational efficiencies.

He holds a Bachelor's degree from St. Francis College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Long Island University.
