

Global Head of Markets Clearing,
Deutsche Bank

JONATHAN W. HITCHON is now Global Head of Markets Clearing, which encompasses multi-asset Prime Brokerage for Hedge Fund and Institutional Managers, Listed Derivatives and OTC Derivatives Clearing. Prior to taking on this expanded role, he was Co-Head of Deutsche Bank’s Global Prime Finance business, which encompasses Prime Brokerage and Synthetic Finance. Global Prime Finance has been voted #1 for four successive years in the industry-leading survey by Global Custodian, and Hitchon was recognized as one of the top 50 most influential individual by HFMWeek.
Prior to this position, Hitchon was Chief Operating Officer of Equity Proprietary Trading and DB Advisors. He was co-head of Equity Prime Services, since its inception in 2001. Before assuming this role, Hitchon had a number of senior roles across Equities, including Equity Derivatives Chief Operating Officer and Equities Chief Administrative Officer.
Hitchon joined Deutsche Bank as part of the acquisition of Equity Derivatives from National Westminster Bank (NatWest), which closed in the early part of 1998. At NatWest, he held a number of capital markets controlling roles, where his final position was chief financial officer for Equities NA. Hitchon currently serves as a director on the DTCC Board and is a member of the Audit Committee and Businesses and Products Committee.
Hitchon is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and graduated from Sheffield University with a BSc (tech) in Chemical Engineering and Fuel Technology.
