

JOHN C. PARKER is an Executive Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors and is President of the Business Services Group. In his role, Parker manages all brokerage operations functions including: Client Side Operations, Street Side Operations, Bank Brokerage and Securities Lending. He is also responsible for delivering and managing technology systems and firm-wide program management and productivity services. In addition to supporting the firm’s multichannel business model of traditional, bank and independent brokerages, Parker holds a similarly responsible role with First Clearing, LLC, which provides securities-execution and brokerage-clearance services to Wells Fargo Advisors and over 140 retail securities firms throughout the United States. He is an active member of the firm’s most senior leadership body, the Wells Fargo Advisors Executive Committee as well as the Management Committee and other internal leadership teams.
Prior to his current position, Parker served as Chief Information Officer of A.G. Edwards and Sons and President of A.G. Edwards Technology Group, Inc. In those roles, he was responsible for establishing and executing the information technology strategy, and directing all of the firm’s information technology activities as well as providing executive leadership in support of over 700 branch offices in addition to trust, investment banking and securities research lines of business. Parker was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of A.G. Edwards and Sons Inc.
Parker joined A.G. Edwards and Sons Inc. in 2001, having built and led strong technology organizations in the airline industry as a Managing Director of Delta Airlines, and as Chief Information Officer of Northwest Airlines (“Northwest”). In addition to his technology-based contributions, he helped manage Northwest’s international business alliance with KLM Airlines. Parker was also part of the team that managed Northwest’s pacific business entity.
Parker currently serves as a director on the DTCC Board and is a member of the Audit Committee and Operations and Technology Committee.
Parker earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University. He has been a participant in the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and holds Series 7, 24 and 27 licenses.
