ANTHONY PORTANNESE is Managing Director of Human Resources at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Named to that role in 2004, he is responsible for leading all human resources activities, including the planning, design and delivery of corporate compensation and benefit programs, executive compensation programs, employee relations, staffing strategies and human resource information systems. In addition, he is responsible for corporate-wide Organizational / Management Development and Employee Learning Programs.

Mr. Portannese joined The Depository Trust Company (DTC), now a DTCC subsidiary, in 1981. During his career at the company, he has held numerous managerial roles within Human Resources and Operations, primarily as head of Compensation, Benefits and Staffing, as well as assignments in Labor Relations and Operations. He was promoted to vice president in 2000, and has recently played a key role in Business Continuity Planning and as a member of the Southern Business Center site team. As part of business continuity planning, DTCC has established multiple, geographically dispersed back-up centers such as the Southern Business Center, which are linked by network technology to ensure systems redundancy and data safekeeping.

Prior to joining DTC, Mr. Portannese worked at Manufacturers Hanover Trust (now JP Morgan Chase).

He holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in business administration from Pace University.
