DTC's International Participants are, for the most part, Central Securities Depositories. They are similar to DTC in that they service their financial markets. Through a link with DTC, they facilitate trading in DTC-eligible securities in local markets, enabling non-U.S. investors to buy, hold or pledge DTC-eligible securities abroad, while custody is centralized at DTC in the U.S. The international links also enable issuers of DTC-eligible securities to economically reach non-U.S. investors.

CDS Clearing & Depository Inc.(CDS), CAVALI, DCV, Merval and EuroCCP (CDS and DCV are also NSCC participants)  have Delivery versus Payment accounts at DTC. All other accounts are free of payment.

Securities Movement

These links facilitate securities movements (deliveries and receives) between U.S. brokers and foreign brokers, members of the foreign Participant. All transactions are book entry and no physical deposits are allowed into these accounts.

Time Zones

Geographical location determines the cut off time for deliver orders into the international accounts. The chart below indicates the cut off time for each Participant.
