DTCC's business continuity strategy meets the objectives identified the "Interagency Paper on Sound Practices to Strengthen the Resilience of the U.S. Financial System," which was issued by the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in April 2003.
DTCC has established operations and staff in multiple locations, including locations outside New York City as well as outside the region. All locations are fully operational, including the multiple data centers and the multiple command centers, and all critical business functions can be conducted from locations outside the metropolitan area.
The company's efforts to date have brought recognition from customers and regulators alike. In fact, DTCC has been asked by a number of firms to share insights on how the company has been able to move so quickly to achieve substantial progress on a wide range of business continuity issues.
