To answer the industry’s call for greater insights and intelligence into the market for annuity products, DTCC launched the Analytic Reporting for Annuities service last year. The service leverages aggregated annuity transactions to create a window into annuity cash flows, providing a bigger picture of aggregated inflows and outflows processed by DTCC. Analytic Reporting is a fully hosted turnkey solution that allows users to visualize information that is processed every day. Now the industry has the ability to use that data for management and intelligence purposes.
“Customers can enhance their understanding of the market, their business relationships and their place in the market with Analytic Reporting. If they process annuity transactions, the data is already there. All that’s needed is a user ID and password,” says Andrew Blumberg, who is leading the Analytic Reporting initiative for DTCC Insurance & Retirement Services.
Analytic Reporting is a unique solution designed to help key decision-makers, from marketing and sales to compliance, view actionable information. Analytic Reporting simultaneously adds value to the user and enhances DTCC’s relationships with its Members.
“Analytic Reporting allows us to deepen our relationship with the customer,” adds Blumberg. “The cost to use this application is very low, and what we are doing here is leveraging the existing data to expand that relationship.”
Members can gain access to the service via an online solution that provides customizable and searchable views into trends by inflows, out flows and net flows. Members can also segment markets or view information with a combination of criteria including product, carrier, distributor, agent and investor.
“Feedback since the launch has been extremely positive. We’re working with the Analytic Reporting subscribers to develop a roadmap to enhance the capabilities of Analytic Reporting,” says Blumberg.
Analytic Reporting addresses a growing need for new information solutions, and is an important step for DTCC in meeting the needs of its members.
