The GCA Browser is a separate, standalone service that offers an online connection to the Global Corporate Actions (GCA) Validation Service data base -- a centralized source of "scrubbed" corporate action announcement information on two million global securities from over 160 countries. The GCA Browser gives corporate action professionals, researchers, front- and back-office teams direct access to all corporate actions data that has been aggregated and validated by GCA’s data experts working in multiple service centers around the world.
Any organization in the world that needs access to corporate actions information on securities worldwide is eligible to sign up for the GCA Browser service, including broker/dealers, asset managers, hedge funds, custodian banks and others. It is available as a separate service offering to new clients or existing clients of the GCA Validation Service.
The GCA Browser:
New users need to formally register, and access is limited to one user per User ID/password. GCA Browser clients can select as a subscription option during on-boarding whether they wish to view corporate action data against global securities or against U.S./Canadian securities.
The GCA Browser allows its clients to search for corporate actions data within the GCA Validation Service database using a composite search page that offers a number of defined and customizable search capabilities.
The GCA Browser displays search results as a Composite Record including all event-level data, comparison of data to sources, audit trail of corporate event, lists of associated corporate actions, as well as attached documents.
GCA Browser clients do not provide a Security of Interest (SOI) file and do not receive publication files. Users cannot download search results, event summary and detail pages, or extract data as part of the Browser Service.
