Joseph Weinhoffer is currently the President and CEO of the U.S. businesses of EDF Man Capital Markets Inc., and a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors. He was previously Treasurer – Americas of the Firm responsible for its funding, capital allocation and bank relationships. He was also the Chief Investment Officer responsible for managing segregated client funds in the FCM and the supervisor of the Prime Services business which includes the repo desk, stock loan desk, fixed income clearing and equity clearing.
Following five years of service in the military, Joseph began his career in the Bank of New York Training Program and held numerous positions including managing operations groups, client service for securities lending and strategic roles within the Bank. From 1992 to 1999, while at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, he managed business groups including repo, securities lending, stock loan and prime brokerage.
In 2001, Joseph was the founder and CEO of Quadriserv, a stock loan marketplace which received several rounds of venture capital from Bessemer Ventures, International Stock Exchange (ISE), Interactive Brokers, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Renaissance Capital, SunGard and Susquehanna. Quadriserv Securities, a FINRA regulated broker dealer, was launched in 2004. He was also the founding CEO of RCap Securities in 2008, a FINRA regulated broker dealer and FICC member, as a subsidiary of Annaly Capital.
From 2009 through 2012, Joseph served as Managing Director at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities responsible for US Treasury trading, repo and stock loan. During 2013, he managed equity capital markets for specialty issuers such as Mortgage REITs.
Joseph is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and the Columbia Business School. He is CFA and CAIA chartered and holds FINRA licenses 3, 7, 24 and 63.
