Supervisors Adopt New Standards For Market Infrastructures

Upon release of the final principles for financial market infrastructures (FMIs), CPSS-IOSCO also issued two related draft documents. One pertains to the assessment methodology for determining whether FMIs are observing the final principles. The other covers the disclosure framework that will determine the information an FMI should provide in order to communicate the risks associated with its use.

DTCC will be filing a response to both consultations. The two documents are open to public comment, with a deadline of June 15. Visit www.bis.org/publ/cpss101.htm to access the two consultation documents.
