DTCC Learning’s Financial Risk webcasts received the award of Excellence from the New York chapter of the Society for Technical Communication’s (STC) annual competition in the Informational Materials category. The STC is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of technical communication.
The two webcasts present the concepts of liquidity risk and interconnectedness risk and explain how to identify, measure, and manage them. The STC judges noted that the “two webcasts are excellent in tackling the difficult subject matter of financial risks. The use of animated graphics and drawings keeps the audience interested in every slide. This is definitely more interesting than reading a book about financial risks.”
DTCC Learning partnered with the DTCC Systemic Risk department to identify the key topics for these webcasts. “Industry studies report a critical need for risk education to change behaviors in the financial services industry,” explained Louay Kaddah, DTCC Learning Program Manager and the architect of the webcasts. DTCC released an additional webcast on counterparty risk and more risk webcasts are planned.
“This recognition highlights how DTCC as a company is educating the industry on risk-related issues,” said Kaliym Islam, Vice President of the DTCC Learning Group.
The webcasts are available on the DTCC Enterprise Risk Learning Center.
