Jennifer Peve, Managing Director of Business Development and Fintech Strategy
Senior executives from The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) were honored with a 2018 Markets Choice Women in Finance award during a ceremony held on November 15 in New York.
Traders Magazine launched The Markets Choice Awards – Women in Finance in 2010 to celebrate the contributions made by women on Wall Street. Markets Media Group, which acquired Traders Magazine from SourceMedia in 2016, continues the awards.
Jennifer Peve, Managing Director of Business Development and Fintech Strategy, was given the Excellence in Fintech award and Marie Chinnici-Everitt, DTCC Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer, was presented with the Excellence in Marketing & Communications, Reputational Management award.
Excellence in Fintech: Jennifer Peve
Peve joined DTCC in 2015 and is responsible for defining the firm’s strategy for new and emerging technology innovation and leading efforts related to the exploration and experimentation of fintech.
One such example was her recent work around the benchmark study which demonstrated for the first time ever that distributed ledger technology (DLT) is capable of supporting average daily trading volumes in the U.S. equity market of more than 100 million trades per day. Specifically, DLT performed at levels necessary to process an entire trading day’s volume based on trading activity during a peak time of day of 6,300 trades per second for five continuous hours, which equates to 115,000,000 daily trades.
Earlier this year, Peve was awarded the Technology Innovator of the Year (Vendor) at Waters Technology’s Inaugural Women in Technology and Data luncheon held in London.
“It is a great honor to be part of this celebration which rightfully acknowledges the contributions of women across the capital markets,” Peve said. “I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to help design and deliver innovative solutions at DTCC which align with our core principles of mitigating risk, enhancing efficiencies and driving cost efficiencies.”
Excellence in Marketing & Communications, Reputation Management: Marie Chinnici-Everitt
In her role, Chinnici-Everitt directs DTCC’s global marketing and corporate communications functions, including overseeing the firm’s global corporate image and positioning, business marketing, digital marketing, client learning, branding initiatives and events, as well as internal and external communications for DTCC, its subsidiaries, and their respective business lines. In 2016, she was named in the Top 100 Women to Watch by Bizwomen and the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Woman of the Year for Financial Services.
Under her leadership, DTCC’s industry communication efforts have earned a multitude of accolades, including awards for the DTCC Annual Report (2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014) from the Financial Communications Society and American Society of Professional Communicators, a Silver Award – Digital Media (ADDY Award) and a Gold Award from the Hermes Creative Awards for the DTCC’s From Where We Stand thought leadership campaign.
“I am honored to be recognized with this prestigious award,” said Chinnici-Everitt. “I am privileged to work with an amazing group of individuals whose creativity and dedication inspire me every day.”
