The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is launching its Systemic Risk Barometer Survey, which serves as an annual pulse check to monitor emerging risks that may potentially impact the safety and resiliency of the global financial system. The survey is scheduled to launch on Monday September 23 and remain open for 3 weeks until closing on Friday October 11.
Among the questions, the survey provides a list of systemic risks, which could all be considered potentially high-impact, for ranking by respondents. The survey encourages participants to offer a forward-looking perspective within their respective responses.
This survey also features a new question that asks respondents for insights on initiatives and investments being made within their respective firms to enhance operational and business resilience. These new insights ensure the survey continues to focus on evolving risks that are impacting the industry.
“The Systemic Risk Barometer Survey is a central component of our outreach efforts, serving as a vehicle for sourcing direct feedback and insights from our clients and external stakeholders. We use this feedback as a benchmark to ensure that our resources, investments and focus areas are in alignment with the priorities identified by our members” said Michael Leibrock, DTCC Chief Systemic Risk Officer. “I am looking forward to analyzing the results and discussing key themes from the survey, as part of DTCC’s commitment to promote financial stability and resiliency across the industry.”
Survey results are targeted for publication in last quarter of 2019 and will be discussed at DTCC outreach initiatives such as our Client Risk Forum, Systemic Risk Roundtable Breakfast and Risk Advisory Council (RAC). Results will also be shared in DTCC Connection, DTCC’s free, bi-weekly newsletter that delivers the latest news on key DTCC initiatives and exclusive commentary from our senior executives with deeper insights and unique perspectives on a broad range of issues impacting global markets.
