There is a passion within the post-trade community to accelerate the settlement process to reduce the exposure associated with unsettled trades. More than half of the respondents in a DTCC in-person client survey shared that manual processing of trade exceptions consumes a significant amount of a firm’s time.
The survey highlights the concerns for settling trades on time and the challenges with manual processing and communications to resolve trade exceptions. It also reveals the pain points affecting middle and back office processes and indicates time zone differences as another worry.
