The New Initiatives Office organizes quarterly meetings with DTCC's regulators, at which business executives describe the concepts they are developing or give updates on existing ones, answering any questions that arise. The meetings give regulators the information they need to determine their level of engagement for each initiative, according to Rachel Tyler, DTCC vice president, who heads the New Initiatives Office.
To keep regulators involved between the quarterly meetings, Tyler sends them the minutes from the New Initiatives Committee meetings. "We have very collaborative relationships with our regulators, based on ongoing communication," she said. "We work with them to identify the information they need and make sure they get it on a timely basis."
