DTCC’s Focus on Military Veteran Recruitment Featured on Discovery Channel

By Rich Marulanda

DTCC was recently showcased in a nationally broadcasted Discovery Channel program, The Profile Series with Larry King, in recognition of the company’s commitment to recruit, train and retain military veteran employees.

“In recent years, we have strengthened our recruiting strategy by making a concerted effort to attract highly trained and talented military veterans to the organization in order to leverage their unique leadership and technical skills and expand the diversity of experience of our workforce,” said Mike Bodson, DTCC President & CEO.

Bodson pointed to DTCC’s participation in the 100,000 Jobs Mission – a program sponsored by more than 100 companies designed to place more than 100,000 veterans ending active duty in full-time positions by 2020 – as well as the company has well-established relationships with multiple veteran agencies and military organizations, including Tampa’s MacDill Air Force Base. DTCC’s participation in this best-practice coalition for hiring veterans is also noted in the program. Spotlight on DTCC Tampa

“Our experience in hiring military veterans is that they are well-suited to the task of helping us achieve our mission to protect our clients and the financial markets,” said Nashid Salahuddin, a DTCC Human Resources Director and a United States Air Force Guardsman, who was interviewed for the segment.

Other Tampa-based employees featured in the segment are Mark Clancy, Managing Director and Chief Information Security Officer, Eric Miller, Managing Director and Head of DTCC Tampa, and Andrew Hung, Junior Programmer, Applications Development and Maintenance.
