DTCC Learning Supports Seamless Migration for ALERT 5.0 Clients

A comprehensive set of training and documentation to support seamless client migration to the new Omgeo ALERT 5.0 platform released earlier this year is available from DTCC Learning.
The ALERT Learning Page provides on-demand learning with short, how-to videos highlighting new features and procedures found in Omgeo ALERT 5.0. Recorded webinars demonstrate how clients use the new screens, fields and functionality. An archive of webinars is available under Self-Paced Learning on http://www.omgeo.com/alert-learning in English, French and Italian.
The ALERT Product Documentation Library contains print and web-based documentation covering every aspect of the product. The Product Release Information document gives clients a summary of the changes, and the message specifications for ALERT Direct clients provide technical details. Online help systems, available directly from the ALERT Web user interface or from the documentation library, describe all features and procedures.
This variety of learning materials and formats enable clients to select the ones that suit their learning needs, explained Bill Meenaghan, ALERT Global Product Manager.
“Many clients gave very positive feedback on these materials during ALERT’s client test phase,” he said. “We are confident that the learning materials provide the right content to support the transition from the legacy product to the new version of ALERT.”
ALERT 5.0 includes the Global Custodian Direct feature, which enables global custodians and prime brokers to electronically maintain timely and accurate SSI data in ALERT, on behalf of their clients. Currently, investment managers perform these updates manually.
By adopting ALERT, global custodians and prime brokers are able to offer their clients the additional service of maintaining and providing SSI data in an automated, secure and efficient manner, helping to reduce their clients’ operational risk and costs.
