DTCC Learning teams received two awards in the New England chapter of the Society for Technical Communication’s (STC) annual competition in the User Support Materials category. The STC is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of technical communication.

The Documentation team received an Award of Merit for the Omgeo Central Trade ManagerSM Trade Blotter Reference for Investment Managers and Broker/Dealers: Repurchase Agreements. The Client Training team received an Award of Merit for its work on redesigning Go-Live Training for Omgeo CTM Investment Managers.

The three STC judges noted that the Trade Blotter Reference presented clear technical information combined with excellent procedures and logical organization. The Client Training team redesigned the training for Omgeo CTM to introduce a “Tell Me, Show Me, Let me Try” approach.  The result is an interactive session that includes visually engaging slides, simulated activities and exercises, and a participant guide for notes and takeaways.  The judges recognized this training as a thorough, well-designed training to meet the needs of end users.

Earlier this year, DTCC Learning was awarded a Regional Merit Award from the STC for excellence in technical communication for DTCC’s ISO 20022 Messaging for Instructions User Guide.
