With increased global regulations surrounding Know Your Customer (KYC) and client onboarding, firms are faced with the challenges of how to most efficiently manage legal entity data across their business. The task of sourcing and maintaining accurate KYC data has become costly and complex for firms, and failure to comply with KYC regulations could result in heavy fines.

This panel will outline how firms should:

- Make a renewed emphasis on client data, KYC and client onboarding
- Assess the importance of KYC and the various processes around gathering evidences
- Prepare the reference data team for being tasked with the responsibility for legal documents

“This is a good opportunity to come together to discuss the challenges that firms are facing in collecting and maintaining accurate legal entity data for KYC and other regulations, and how Clarient can provide relief to those challenges,” Stauffer said.

The Clarient Entity Hub is a data and document utility created to allow for the collection, maintenance and distribution of standardized entity data and documentation required for client onboarding. The utility enables clients to use their data submissions as a platform for the information required throughout the client lifecycle. This includes KYC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Dodd-Frank, and EMIR regulations.
