DTCC’s End User Services Provides Support for COVID-19

By Jill Boller, DTCC Executive Director, End User Services
In recent weeks, as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread, virtually all DTCC staff members around the world have transitioned to remote working. I’m part of our End User Services team, and our focus during this time has been on keeping our global workforce connected with a seamless experience from home. Our team continues to rise to the occasion and maintain high quality service delivery while meeting the increased demands of this operating model.
However, our team went one step further recently when we took action to help our community in New York City. I’m sure many of you are aware that New York has become the COVID-19 epicenter in the US and our hospitals and frontline healthcare providers are stretched very thin.
Last Saturday, one of our telecommunications vendors, Highpoint Solutions, reached out to request donations of phone equipment for the newly established Jacob K. Javits Convention Center COVID-19 hospital in Manhattan. We responded quickly and provided an initial donation of 60 phones. Soon after, we received word that the Javits Center was inundated with additional equipment needs. More phones were needed in order for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers to stay in contact about patient progress throughout the massive convention center.
To procure more equipment for our donation, one of our team members traveled to our Jersey City office to collect additional unused phones for Highpoint and helped load the remaining phones onto a truck for delivery to the Javits Center. In all, over 150 DTCC phones have been donated to the Javits Center hospital.
I’m proud to be part of DTCC and the efforts we’ve made to support healthcare providers and others impacted by this crisis. I’m inspired by my colleagues from around the globe who are taking an active role in their communities, making a difference by supporting organizations like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Feeding Tampa Bay, World Vision Philippines, and many others. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is unwavering, especially during these unprecedented times.
