DTC will begin revoking Participant Terminal Services (“PTS”) access for human personas on March 27, 2026.
Background
Throughout 2025, DTC has communicated the planned discontinuation of access to TN3270/PTS via Important Notice #Z0281. In 2025, DTC initiated Phase 1 by engaging clients to begin transitioning human personas off PTS.
On January 15, 2026, DTC filed a proposal with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) outlining a multi-phase initiative to modernize access to DTCC services. As part of this initiative, DTC will begin transitioning human personas off PTS.
For the time being, DTC will continue to allow non-human personas (Bots/RPA) to use PTS to give clients additional time to transition automated processes to modern alternatives available through the DTCC Mainframe Portal and MyDTCC. To support a smooth transition, Client Administrators must ensure that all (i) human users have migrated to modern platforms and that all (ii) Bots/RPA are properly disclosed in the Customer Registration System (CRS).
DTC is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible. Please contact your Relationship Manager with any questions, updates on your migration progress, or plans for moving away from RPA-based processes.
