Security Position Reports

Gain access to centralized position information and contact details that help support cost-effective issuer communications around corporate events and shareholder-related activities.

Security Position Reports

A Clear View of Participant Holdings

DTC’s Security Position Reports (SPR), help issuers, trustees and approved third-party agents see which DTC participants hold an issuer’s security during a specific time period. These reports also include contact information for those participants. Issuers can use this information to contact DTC participants about corporate events, such as annual meetings. DTC participants then share the information with their own customers, including the people or organizations that ultimately own the securities.

Registered users can log in to the SPR web service to request reports for their firm. These reports are available for a fee. Users can get them through a subscription or request them when needed. Subscriptions can be set up for different time periods, such as daily or monthly, and require at least a one-year commitment. Users can also choose how they want to receive the reports, including through a browser, spreadsheet or computer-to-computer facility, also known as CCF. (Note: CCF delivery is not available for Dividend Record Date Reports)
