Christopher Gelvin
Christopher Gelvin serves as the Group Operations and Technology Office (GOTO) Chief Operating Officer, the Group Head of Operations at UBS, and a Member of the Executive Board of UBS Business Solutions AG. Christopher and his team are responsible for strategic planning and operating management for GOTO, for data governance and the technology investment portfolio across the firm, and for overseeing all technology and operations activities related to the integration of Credit Suisse and UBS.
During his nearly 20-year career at UBS, Christopher had several leadership roles in Operations and Technology, including as the Chief Operating Officer for Group Technology, Group Operations, and the Group COO. In July 2018 Christopher was appointed Head of Group Operations, a role he held until the Operations functions were successfully reintegrated into the business in July 2021. In February of 2021, Christopher took on the role of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), supporting the implementation of Group Executive Board-sponsored transformation initiatives. In March 2022 Christopher took over as the Director of the Wealth Management Americas Platform (WMAP), a pillar of Global Wealth Management’s US digital roadmap. He took on his current GOTO responsibilities in May 2023.
Prior to joining UBS, Christopher worked at Accenture in New York for ten years, with consulting roles at Wachovia, DTCC, and other financial services institutions. He holds a Master of Business Administration from NYU's Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Hamilton College.
