Valden Paes is Managing Director and Head of Enterprise Digital Solutions at DTCC. In this role, he leads a dynamic team focused on driving digital transformation across the organization. With a strong emphasis on innovation, operational efficiency, and client-centricity, Valden oversees the development and execution of forward-looking digital strategies that enhance business processes and elevate customer experiences.
In addition to leading digital transformation, Valden is responsible for a portfolio of enterprise platforms that underpin many of DTCC’s core products and services. These platforms serve as foundational enablers of the firm’s technology ecosystem, supporting scalability, resilience, and integration across business lines. His remit includes ensuring these platforms are continuously modernized to meet evolving industry demands and regulatory requirements, while also fostering alignment with DTCC’s strategic objectives.
Previously, Valden served as Managing Director and Head of Business Transformation, where he led the firm’s internal consulting group. In that capacity, he supported enterprise-wide initiatives that reshaped DTCC’s operating model across people, structure, systems, and culture. Earlier in his tenure, he was Managing Director in the Information Technology group, responsible for delivering secure, high-performance computing, communications, and cloud services globally, as well as end-user computing and collaboration tools for DTCC’s workforce.
Before joining DTCC, Valden held several leadership roles at PepsiCo, where he played a key role in transforming IT infrastructure across international markets. He began his career at AT&T, where he contributed to the launch of operations in Brazil.
Valden holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Universidade de Taubaté in São Paulo, Brazil, and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Columbia Business School.
