Bob Stewart serves as the Executive Director at DTCC, where he leads critical industry initiatives aimed at enhancing automation and efficiency within the Equity Clearance & Settlement and Institutional Trade Processing business lines. In this role, he collaborates with industry partners to realize DTCC's vision and strategy of fostering an efficient, low-risk, and well-integrated trade lifecycle. Additionally, he represents DTCC's strategy in industry associations and works with financial technology providers to identify innovative solutions to existing industry challenges.
Prior to joining DTCC, Bob was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Custody Product at Brown Brothers Harriman where he focused on the strategy, investments and profitability of BBH’s Global Custody product and business. His prior roles at BBH included Client Service Manager and Assistant Department Head of the Global Custody Client Service Group.
Bob has over 25 years of experience in financial services and has been actively involved in industry working groups including the SIFMA Asset Management Group and the ICI Security Operations Advisory Committee (SOAC), among others. Prior to joining BBH, Bob began his career at The Boston Company.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Bentley College.
