DTCC’s Mutual Fund Profile Security Database is a central repository of fund prospectus and operational rules with approximately 27,000 securities and over 5 million data points. This complex landscape originally involved manual data entry, which meant the amount of work needed to complete was extremely time consuming. Utilizing key components of artificial intelligence, such as cognitive technology and data mining, allows clients to significantly reduce the time it takes to process and update the mining of data from prospectuses and other documents filed within the SEC’s EDGAR system.
