STREAMLINED COMMUNICATION OF SSIs

The ALERT database provides a central point of SSI entry for data providers, with over 56% of SSIs stored in ALERT being actively managed by data providers – ‘golden source’ SSIs. New and amended SSIs are validated in real-time against SWIFT BIC code data feeds and the DTCC TradeSuite ID master file. SSIs are also syntactically validated to ensure compliance with industry standards and market-specific rules for required fields and field values. A range of data authentication options for cash-based and security-based SSI entries provide customizable additional layers of verification.

CUSTOMIZED INTEGRATIONS TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

Global Custodian Direct (GCD): With GCD, investment managers can source SSI data directly from their global custodians who systemically update the ALERT platform. Institutional clients will connect to the custodian’s acronym and access their SSI details through existing functionality. Custodians available for connection include the following: BBH, BNP, BNY, CITI, HSBC, JPM, NT, Pictet, RBC, SS, Sumitomo & US Bank.

Regional Custodian Web / Global Custodian Web: With our web option, investment managers can source SSI data directly from their global custodians who leverage a web-based connection to update their data in ALERT. Institutional clients connect to the custodian’s acronym to access their SSI details. Custodians available for connection include National Australia Bank, SEB Securities Services, UMB Bank, US Bank.

ALERT for Prime Brokers enables prime brokers to store their SSIs in ALERT. Hedge fund clients connect to the prime brokers’ acronym to access their SSI details. All SSIs are created and managed by the prime broker except for markets that have segregated accounts. In this instance, DTCC will facilitate the setup by linking the SSI data and populating segregated account information.
