Through the Agent Announcement Portal (AAP) DTC is driving industry modernization by standardizing the Corporate Action announcement process.

  • Overview

Through the Agent Announcement Portal (AAP), DTC is driving industry modernization by standardizing the Corporate Action announcement process. The portal gives agents, issuers and third-party stakeholders the means to communicate Corporate Action event announcements through a standardized submission in near real time via a modern user interface. This will eliminate the previous email process with direct sourcing through the AAP with human to machine processing allowing end investors to receive transparent and standardized data in a timelier fashion.

  • How the AAP Works

The Agent Announcement Portal will enable issuers, agents and third-party stakeholders to enter Corporate Actions event information for announcements via the portal. For redemption events, the AAP will allow announcement event uploads for Full Calls, Partial Calls, Final Paydown, Full Pre-Refunding Defaults, Partial Pre-Refunding, and Partial Defeasance submissions.

The pilot program for the Agent Announcement Portal includes two phases:

  • Who Can Use the AAP

Once live, all issuers, agents, and third-party stakeholders can use this service. Note, the Proof of Concept is limited to Redemption Agents.
