Aadesh Gandhre is Managing Director and General Auditor at DTCC, where he leads the firm’s Internal Audit function and oversees enterprise-wide audit coverage across governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory compliance. He brings two decades of leadership experience across internal audit, compliance, technology, operations, and financial services.
Under his leadership, DTCC’s Internal Audit function has undergone a significant digital transformation and has been recognized two years in a row, receiving the Protiviti Audit Trailblazer Award in 2026 and the inaugural Audit Innovator Award in 2025 at the IIA Great Audit Minds Conference. These honors reflect the team’s work embedding analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and reimagined ways of working across the audit lifecycle.
In 2026, Aadesh was recognized by The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as the “Chief Audit Executive of the Year” as part of the Global IIA Excellence Awards, recognizing leadership, innovation, mentorship, and contributions to advancing the Internal Audit profession worldwide. Earlier that year, he was honored by the IIA New York Chapter with its “Best Chief Audit Executive” award for his contributions to the profession and the Chapter.
Before joining DTCC, Aadesh spent six years at Société Générale Americas as Managing Director and Head of Audit for IT, Operations, and Latin America business activities. He led a global team responsible for technology, operations, and business audits across Corporate and Investment Banking in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, and also served as Chief Innovation Officer for Internal Audit in the Americas. Earlier in his career, he held audit roles of increasing responsibility at Goldman Sachs & Co.
Aadesh holds certifications in audit, cybersecurity, sanctions, cryptocurrency, IT service management, and artificial intelligence, including Certified Internal Auditor, ISACA CISA, ACAMS Sanctions Foundation, ITIL 4, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, Certified Cryptocurrency Auditor™, and BCG Artificial Intelligence. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Aadesh serves on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer for Hope’s Door NY, a nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence and empowering survivors. He contributes his expertise in governance and risk strategy to support the organization’s mission of advancing safer communities through advocacy, education, and trauma-informed services.
