Ann Shuman

Ann Shuman is General Counsel of DTCC, responsible for overseeing the company’s legal, compliance, regulatory & government relations functions. She is also a member of the DTCC Executive Committee and serves as Chair of the DTCC Deriv/SERV LLC Board of Directors and the boards of DTCC Data Repository (U.S.) LLC; DTCC Derivatives Repository Plc; and DTCC Data Repository (Ireland) Plc.

Ann was appointed General Counsel in February 2017. She has extensive experience with financial services regulation, particularly the regulation of central counterparties.

She joined DTCC in January 2014 as Managing Director & Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining DTCC, she was Managing Director & Deputy General Counsel of CME Group Inc.

Ann received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and began her legal career at Sidley & Austin in Chicago.
